Another year has roled around to THE BIGGEST SPORTING EVENT IN THE WORLD.

Any of you cats hitting the superbash party down at Indigo2 tonight? I'll be there in my Colts Manning 18 shirt with a pal (Packer?). If anyone's down let me know and we'll beer it up supporting the Cards.

World Cup Final is way bigger.

Not dissing the Superbowl, because I like American Football, but many more people watch the beautiful game.

not where advertising is concerned, companys pay millions for a 30 second add space during the superbowl half time.

can't belive the pats are coming over here, am praying someone has a ticket for cheap on ebay nearer the time!

Advert go for more in US cos they go over the whole country, whereas CL goes to each country ie spain, italy, Luxemburg etc

Just because companies will pay millions to be advertised at half time in the Superbowl doesn't make it the biggest sporting event in the world though does it??

Yep. :D

Seeing the same happen to Joey Barton would also be very entertaining.

I like watching American Football but only when i have Sky plussed it to forward fast through all the breaks and Ads, otherwise it does my head in because it takes so long

i'll be watching and doing my overdue tax return in the breaks in play. always enjoy the bowl unless it gets too one-sided too early. halftime show is springsteen this year.

will keep myself awake through the first two quarters with constant coffee. once i have got through those, the temptation to nod off passes. brilliant that it's on bbc this year as no ads. wonder how they will fill the breaks. probably with a idiot's guide to american football.

wish i had the time to watch games in the regular season, but this is my once a year indulgence.

in terms of audience, world cup final is much much bigger. but for the good old US of A, this is the big one.

i,ll be watching alrite. havent missed a superbowl since i started watching in 1986. as a broncos die-hard fan, i,ll be rooting for the steelers as an fellow afc team. hope its as good as last years, when it went rite 2 the wire. fancy steelers by a score of 27-17, with santonio holmes winning the mvp.

I'd rather watch the Carling Cup Final.

basically its a load of bollocks. an internal bout of pushing and shoving puncuated with loads of adverts with people with perfect teeth. the septics are welcome to that shower of a game.

the one thing that pisses me off is that its from that load of bollocks that people over here got this sports as a business/enetrtainment packge. fucking bruce springstien at half time :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: . give me bruce forsyth any day of the week. " Nice to see you, to see you nice"
