I pod question

Can anyone help. I have just obtained an i pod (yes i've finally stop using my sony walkman) but i do not have the start up disc. what do i need to do as none of my mates (yes i have two) has got one.
help

I think if you go on the apple website you should be able to download itunes.

I think you need to register to allow you to download from the apple store.

untick the "send me emails" button and it'll let you download it without registering.
