Just thinking about lunch and as it's Friday I tend to treat myself to some junk!
My mate told me this the other week at KFC they have a deal called the 'Mini-variety Meal'.
The normal Variety meals can be a bit of a gut buster and those new 'boxes' (£1.99) seem ideal until I was told about the Mini-Variety which is a better offer.
£2.39 you get excatley the same as the new 'box' 2 wings or thighs, pop corn ckn etc & chips. For the extra 40p on the mini-variety you get a piece of Chicken.
Which is about a £1.50 less the the normal variety. Minus the drink and a 'crispy strip'!!!
Strangely, KFC doesn't advertise this anywhere on the boards instore?
BTW it does work as the two of us return to the office with our
Do anyone else know of other 'trade' secretes?

The only trade secret i know is if you phone a company that leaves you hanging listening to shit music while waiting for an operator try pressing * on your phone 5-10 times and quite often you get through to someone straight away apparently its a cheat for an employee to get through. It doesnt work with every company but ive had a few success' over the years

Probably not! I struggle mysef but it works.
Basically you get 1 peice of Chicken, 2 thighs & Chips for £2.39.
Where as in that new 'box' deal you only get a choice of chicken (ei. 2 thighs, pop corn chicken or 2 wings etc) & chips for £1.99.

That also works with most automated systems where you 'crash' the system.

theres one is used to do as a student. This is pre-mobile phone era so probably not worth it now with all the minutes you get free, but here it is.
Some companies offer free phone contact lines. There was one offered by a well know travel agent begining with 'T' had a pre-recorded free-phone line for flight information. Go to a payphone and dial the number, wait for the message to end , then hang on and eventually you get a dial tone and you can call whoever you want for free at the expense of the company that provided the freephone.
This only works through land lines as mobile calls are routed a different way, but its still worth hanging on everytime i get a recroded message.

The only one I know of goes on at Official Arsenal stores. You get a cheap bit of material, that didn't cost much to make, and then put a massive price tag on it. And then, us mugs pay for it.
That's my little known secret.

Best trade secret(s) I picked up working for Blackhorse Finance company.
If you are late with your payment you won't incur a fee until the payment has been late for 10 days, so in theory you have 9 free days to be late.
Also if you do incur any fee's these are held over till the end of your finance agreement at which point they expect you to pay them, however no matter what letters they send they will never take you to court. Finance companies aren't like banks so the current test case doesn't apply, I think.
Anything you get interest free for x months should be paid before the free period ends otherwise you will accrue interest from the start of the agreement. IE 6 months of interest before you've made one payment.
If you have a car on HP they can't reposses once you've paid one third of the total. After you have paid half you can give the car back without being liable for one more penny providing you meet cartain conditions.
Certain finance companies will put your car on the HP register even though you took out a personal loan for it. You can force them to remove it if you want to sell the car and not have to give them any of the proceeds.
All this simple information is usually found in the contract bt it's amazing how many people do not read their contracts and get bullied about by the finance company.
Oooh, I feel like a whistleblower.
