I have a spare ticket going free to see ska band greats, The Beat, tonight playing at the O2 academy in Islington.

first time i saw the beat was around 1984, they were playing with the specials 8)

Nice one Reb, I've just back from the gig (obviously watched our game also) they were brilliant.... and The Beat were good also !!!!!!)

Yes, that one is indeed an original, although, they did chart with 2 covers namely Tears of a clown, and Can't get used to losing you (originally an Andy Williams hit) :lol:

Also, a bit like Madness, but a little more sophisticated IMO!!! Although Madness are brilliant also (going to see them yet again in July when they do their Madstock gig at Victoria Park in London)
