Obefemi Martins, if Barcodes go down

Obefemi Martins, if Barcodes go down

Post by thatgooner »

Just a thought, as we all kno that our stirkers are all Wan%rs.

I think Obefemi would be a great aquisition for the club, hopefully our new gaffer will agree and get the checkbook out for our 1st of many signings in the summer.

Surely he wont wanna stay there if they go down, also maybe bassong (sp) too?

not really, the press have been pushing him on us since he scored against us for Inter.
He's Finishing is terrible, quite evident in his most resent 10yard misses against Spuds and Pompey not to mention his games against us in the carling cup.

Bassong too

martins would be another greedybarndoor type. not so much in the attitude of the pitch but on it performance wise. he never looks toolazy but his football is on a par with greedy.

It begs the question who are we really likely to sign in that position? anybody thinking we are going to sign David Villa is fooling themself.
And given eddie and rvp's injury problems it is quite worrying, and I don't think aw will sell greedybollocks in the summer.

We will for sure not be signing a striker.
As for Villa, we can forget about that either Liverpool or Real will get him.

We need four strikers to challenge on all fronts, looking at our current squad we have four out and out strikers (ade, rvp, bendtner and eduardo).

Next season, realistically what 4 strikers would you think we could have??
Looking at the forum, most feel one is too lazy and greedy, two are injury prone and one is not good enough. Would you suggest four new strikers? Push theo or AA further up?? Who would you look to buy?

Currently the only strikers I feel are world class and would add a huge value is Etoo, Torres and Villa.

As far as I am concerned, I think we need to sort out our DM and CB positions as we have enough going forward with Tomas(fingers crossed) AA Nasri Cesc Robin Theo Eddie Robin even Ade and Nick. Fact is you cant compare the defensive and Physical qualities of Toure and Gallas to Rio & vidic Terry & Alex or Carragher & Skertel.
We have scored 6 less than Liverpool and conceeded 12 more than Chelski. The problem is evident

Agreed,

Our goals conceded column is a joke for a team alledgely with title winning aspirations.
