I loved the old Startrek.
Captain Kirk to Scotty, "How long till we get full power?"
Scotty, "At least twelve hours, captain".
Kirk, "You have three minutes".
Scotty, "I'll see what I can do, captain".
And, sure enough, Scotty gets the job done.
Fucking brilliant engineer. Only a Scot could do it.
Also, why did they keep running out of Diolithium crystals?
Fucking big spaceship. No storage facilities.

We should have him on the backroom staff at The Arsenal...
Anyway, I used to love the original Star Trek, could never get into the modern version.... Guess I'm an old skool man, don't mind Sci-Fi, love time travel films..... Also used to love The Time Tunnel..... (they never did finish this series because of budget cuts...)

i'm in two minds about seeing this movie. Am / was a massive fan of the all the tv incarnations (less so voyeger) and was a mad trekkie, even having attended a convention (yes i know,,, i'm sad). That said the first line of the trailer stating forget all you know, kinda puts me off in the fact that they are gonna be blatently disregarding all the star trek history that has gone on, just to make a new movie.
