Daughter is going to an event at Excel next weekend. staying over until Sunday.

We said - get on DLR/tube about 4ish - make your back across London (some doubt about whether her and boyfriend can actually manage this), and get off at Holloway Road - we'll meet you there (given that the match will be finishing about then.

Well bloody DLR are doing improvements then, so no trains from Price Regent/Custom House until around Blackwall station. Supposed to be buses running instead. Oh joy!

They're apparently building a flyover for DLR at Canning Town, had a flyer through the letter box yesterday detailing it... It's also going to have these type of disruptions over the next 4 weeks also.

Yeah but it ain't helping - the more I look at the track/station closures on the 24th when they come home the more despondent I get that they'll actually make it.

Son is supposed to be meeting them at ExCel and coming back with them, he's fairly good with finding his way around the tube but it just looks a complete mess.

DLR closed between Prince Regent and Blackwall - they need to change onto Jubilee Line at Canning Town.

Jubilee closed between North Greenwich and Stratford - they need to go through North Greenwich and change at London Bridge onto Northern.

:banghead:
