One of those days

Post by mcdowell42 »

Im after having 1 of those days where anything that goes wrong did go wrong. The day started off well my sister in law rang me and asked if my 5 year old son wanted to go to her house to play with his cousins. So she collected him and told me his uncle would drop him back at 7pm.Great i thought i would be able to watch the rugby and some of the fa cup.About 2 hours later my sister in law rang me to tell me joshua (my son)had being bitten by a dog just above the eye and she was taken him to the doctor. She collected me and we went to the doctor.Luckily enough there was no serious damage only a bit of swelling around the eye and some bite marks. Now a little bit lower and my son would have lost his eye.So i brought him home and decided i would give him a bath later on so i turned on the immersion to heat the water.Irish gooners will know the importance of the immersion in the irish home.2 hours later my son called me up stairs because there was water on the carpet on the landing. The water was coming from the attic so bob the builder ie me decided to go into the attic to see if i could stop the leak.I went up and went straight through the landing ceiling.I called a plumber he came out fixed the problem temporarily Wont be back until tuesday because its a bank holiday weekend here in ireland. Now i have 2 big holes in my landing ceiling.Luckily enough we have house insurance. But what a disaster of a day. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:Sorry to bother everybody with my problems but i had to let it off my chest.

Fuck me, go to bed mate, quickly.

I hope your lad is okay.

P.S. Please forgive me but I did have a bit of a laugh at the image of you getting down from the loft a bit quicker than you hoped. I'm ashamed to admit that I can be an evil bastard.

No. Dog belonged to neighbours across the road.Normally no problem with the dog but my son tried to pick up the dog and i presume the dog took exception.Constantly telling the young lad not to pet dogs but like talking to the wall.Dont want him to be afraid of dogs but just be wary. His mother is scared of dogs.Me ive known enough dogs in my time
