Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster in Southampton on Tuesday night.
Jane's Addiction and Nine Inch Nails in London last night.

Not sure if anyone here likes any of those bands.

I still can't believe Eighties Matchbox never got bigger, but they have only released two albums. Just an amazing band.
Even tho the bass player was absolutely wasted and the singer wasn't far off, it was a great show, probably the best time I've ever seen them.
Guy McKnights vocals were perfect.


Last night was seated at the O2, but everyone stood anyway.
I've always liked Jane's addiction but was never a huge fan, but last night was the first time I've seen them live and they were stunning.
The fact that they played 'Ted, Just Admit It' pretty much made my night.

Had to leave 20 minutes early from Nine Inch Nails to get the last coach home, but what I did see was excellent.
They played 'Burn' and 'Heresy' which again, pretty much made my night.

£4.50 for a bloody bottle of Stella at the O2 tho

I've seen all 3 live. 80s were pretty good. Didn't think much of Jane's Addiction. I saw NIN in London a few years back and wasn't that gone on them. Then saw them close Reading in 2007 and it was mind blowing. Smashing Pumpkins following was a massive let down.

Yeah I was at Reading for that and I agree with that. I love Smashing Pumpkins but they just didn't do it for me at Reading, and they never did it for me when I saw them in London last year either. Maybe they're just a band I prefer on record for some reason.

I'm a Pumpkins fan to an extent, I just thought that Corgan was indulging himself far too much that night rather than trying to please the crowd with all the jamming at the end of songs and stuff like that, much like RHCP (who were terrible) did the night before, although you expect that from them.

To be fair to the Pumpkins though, most bands would have struggled to follow NIN's set that night.

Saw NIN abck in 2002 they were awesome.....I love Trent Reznor's song "Hurt"...But Johnny Cash made it his own...
