Why do they grow?

WHY??? I hate em! They are embarrassing! Why are they like that? and how can I make it go away???


I have the same problem. Even though your nails might not be yellow or discolored, just thick, doesn't rule out a fungus infection. If you'd like to try a home remedy, try vicks vapor rub twice a day on your nails and surrounding area. My husband has used it in the past and it worked. I am now going to try it. Another home remedy is Tea tree oil, twice a day. If you find the Tea tree oil is too strong, dilute it with olive oil. I hope this helps!

My dad's nails are like that... ( I know that's not really what you want to hear, but ) and it is caused by:
1. genetics
2. from some (past?) infections
3. poor nutrition
4. poor health
5. Injuries to the nail

and really you could just go to google and search for "thick toenails"

or you could go to your doctor or go straight to a podiatrist (foot doc)
