Just killed one that's been bouncing around my room for a few hours. Very, very irritating animals, as anyone who has encountered them will know.

To start with they're insects and 1 in 4 creatures on the planet is a beetle, so you'd be pretty out numbered if they all decided to get revenge and if you buy into evolution they are masterpieces,

Plus i doubt it was doing any real harm and exiling it to outside would have been more suitable. Poor beetle.

Is a christmas beatle the same as a secada? The noise they make makes you want to kill them, there were loads around when i visited my family in W.A.

Without Spiders the world would be over-run by insects. Some report that the world be coverd up to 3ft in insects without them(I think this may be an exageration though)

Its an animal. Insect would just be a sub-division.

And I'll take their revenge.

In fact, I'd happily side with bacteria if we want to talk population densities.

Dislike them too. However, when you live here long enough, their sounds become background noise - to the point where you sometimes don't even notice them.

Christmas Beetles make a horrible droning noise when they fly, and the bastards must surely be blind. They fly into everything. Usually they aim for lights and hover around doors or whatever. So they continually bounce off windows at night, and, stepping outside at night its possible to be bombarded within seconds.

Revolver is brilliant alright, but just shaded into 2nd in my list by the amazing Abbey Road.
