Interesting thing to look at if you are really bored, can look up and compare trends of searches on google. (can do rude ones aswell 
)

Simple example:
http://www.google.co.uk/trends?q=diet&c ... all&sort=0
You can see the search for diet goes up every time a new year begins
Comparing example:
http://www.google.co.uk/trends?q=thierr ... +hand+ball
Can see that hand ball went up with searches of thierry henry
