I have just watched a film called

"The Man From Earth"
http://extratorrent.com/torrent/2180091 ... +H264.html

It is eight people in a log Cabin saying goodbye to a lecturer colleague.
He informs them that he is 14,000 years old and starts telling them about his life. I found the film fascinating and i think that parts of the story about Buddism, the Bible and Religon would appeal to you.
It is a very intelligent well written script with great characters and i have no problem recommending this to anyone who likes a film that is not all Blood and Guts.

This review i copied from imdb does it more justice than me.

This is by far the most unusual movie I have ever seen. I am a die hard Sci-Fi buff and found myself wondering why no one has released a movie like this before. I was totally engrossed... the story pulled me in like a Black Hole, I found myself wanting more and more.

This film is tantalizing, not to your eyes, not to your ears, but rather where it counts the most...your brain. What a breath of fresh air, I felt satisfied in the end and invigorated. If I had paid 50 dollars to see this film I would not have been disappointed.

For anyone who has an intellect, is open minded and ready for an adventure born of thought, Ideas and possibilities, make absolutely certain you do not miss this film.

I'll let you buy it for me then. I've boycotted Amazon over the "sit down" song!

I watched "the man from earth" last night and have to say I have rarely been as disappointed by a film.
The idea itself is potentially brilliant, but the reality of what is delivered is anything but. Badly scripted, badly directed dreadful acting throughout, the leading character Jawwwwwn in particular was abysmal.
0/10 for this waste of a dvd and indeed 1hr+ of my life.
