I rest my case. :banghead:
Are you saying there the response on facebook isn`t a reflection on the interest in the case?
The mere fact there has been far far less media coverage. tells us a lot.
Please don`t forget this is still a small boy, snatched at gunpoint, during an armed raid in which members of his family were beaten.

As does the response on here. Not one of you has said they are concerned and hope he is found safe. One or two of you even preferred to talk about curry being a favourite British food......

I can agree with you a little pixie. The facebook group thing isn't really a great comparison to the situation, we know Madeleine had more media coverage but someone rightly said Madeleine’s case has been a lot longer so there will be more groups about it.

Madeleine’s parents were wealthy doctors, English born and bred citizens so it will always be a bigger case to the media. You may agree with that or not, but we all know how the media generates, and unfortunately, it's not nice.

Anyway, I hope the little boy is found safe and well :(

And neither did you - the subject you chose was racism, not concern for the boys safety. If you intended it to become a 'tribute' thread, then perhaps you should have voiced concern for the boy yourself to get the ball rolling? - no? :?

Anyway, it surely goes without saying that pretty much everyone would hope he is found safe, but whether people choose to voice that publically on a football forum, of all places, is a personal choice.

Obviously, I hope the little lad is found safe.

I merely pointed out that the reaction to the story did border on racism by the amount of press coverage. We all know deep down that had the child not been from an ethnic minority background public reaction would have been quite different.
