The ANC supporters chant "Kill the white farmers" at football matches. :(

I reckon it's gonna get seriously dangerous out there. I have family living in Cape Town and they said there are whole areas you cannot go into, if you are white, without risking getting murdered. The SA tourist board and the SA govt try to cover up but the murder rate out there is the highest in the world.

Don't get me wrong, Terreblanche was a despicable racist cuntslop, but two wrongs don't make a right.

world cup in south africa, then world cup in brazil and olympic games in brazil.

i really really really do not know how they expect those three events to go by without BIG tragedies.

believe me, i live in a city that is one of the hosts for the WC, and i know all of the other cities, been to all of them in the past 3-4 years. there is NO way it will be safe. :?

I have been following South African history for many years and pretty much know all about the situation and how it developed. (Wrote a long wearisome essay on the S.A troubles for my degree some years back). It looks to me as though Terreblanche's followers will keep it quiet for now, but do not be suprised when they use the World Cup as a focal point for their ultimate revenge.......sadly blood will flow.

Agreed. Shame too - it's such a beautiful country... :(

A friend of mine is South African, this time last year we were talking about the Lions tour in the Summer - He has not been back for a few years but he told me a few stories about the place which has put me off visiting for some time, including his brother being shot in a church, a friend being murdered outside his home quite frightening really. :(

Stupid thing is Terre'Blanche's killing wasn't even racist - he was simply hacked to death because he didn't pay the workers. Not the sort of bloke to have good relations with farm workers.

I cannot believe that SA doesn't get more press coverage - 3,000 Boers murdered since re-unification and Julius fucking Malema still singing "Kill the Boer" at rallies.

It is such a shame - look how it all could have gone - Mandela comes in and there is so much promise, Mbeki does a dodgy job but there is still hope if an intelligent, charismatic, peaceful black leader can come in - Mandela mk. II or maybe Sexwale??

But Jacob "rapist" Zuma is given power instead and lo and behold the country is rapidly going backward to pre-95. Not only does this affect the whites - but the blacks really take the brunt of it. I was talking to the night security guard in my uncle's block of flats in Cape Town, and he is a really twitchy, jumpy guy... I assumed he was always like that - turns out he has a 15 yr. old girl and his wife at home, and the guy's so jumpy cos as he said "When they are raped, robbed and murdered I won't be there to stop it" and went on to say "if it was possible I would vote National Party right now - I hated the system but this is anarchy - I would rather be repressed than live like this". This guy is no pussy - that is what it is like in the townships.

I can see a civil war and an Afrikanerstan being created in the Transvaal but I fear for the country...

SWL

Your knowledge is very impressive for somone so young.
All your points are pretty spot on.

The murder may not have been racist, but for me it HAS TO BE racist....white leader spouting off his racist shit to two black workers who probably dislike him and then they snap......pretty much a fair bit of Kudos to the two killers in the black community and rid of a white radical who was and remained a thorn in SA society

Not having a dig SWL but it wasnt that long ago you were saying SA is perfectly safe and anyone worried about going to the world cup had no bollocks :? Why the change of mind?
