Something happened my itunes and I've lost all my music. Now I still have everything on my ipod touch so I'm trying to copy everything off it back into itunes. Not easy.

There's about 5 million things on google, none particularly helpful, so I've come here cap in hand looking for help! I'm using windows xp.

Over to you!

(and yes Mr. G i have tried turning it off and on again, cheers anyway  )

Did you plug your ipod into a different computer than you normally use? that wipes your music.

i think it's the other way around, CF. he lost the music on his PC, and has it all on his iPod. now he wants to move the songs FROM the iPod back to the PC.

i don't know how to do it. it will take some work, though.

that's the one detail i hate about the ipod. if you transfer mp3 songs like files, you can't hear them. only in apple's format, but then you can't treat the songs like normal files, which end up with your problem...

That's why I use a sony walkman MP3 player - none of those problems. Apple are the new satan.

I've the same problem Rodders and now my i phone is fucked too. I went into the shop and they sent it away for me. Before I did they gave me back my SIM card, when I put it in my old phone my contacts are gone. Bloody i phone must have taken the contacts off the SIM :banghead:

Unless they send back the same phone I dont think I'll be able to retrieve my contacts

Surerly there is a help line in i tunes or a forum. I find that Geek forums are Brillant if you have a problem, there is always some fu**ing genius on the forums who can do anything with the touch of a button.
