If that joke of a footballer was sitting in front of me asking for such ridiculous wages, I'd go ballistic and twat the little bastard!!!Jimmy Bullard's one-year loan to Celtic was on the brink of collapse last night after the midfielder was reported to be demanding an incredible £75,000-per-week wage deal.
Sportsmail understands Bullard wanted £30,000-per-week from Celtic on top of the £45,000-per-week he is due under the terms of his Hull contract — which has three years to run.
Furious Hull City chiefs will now have to try and place the 31-year-old elsewhere and Director of Football Adam Pearson said: ‘The deal is off as far as we are concerned — because of absolutely ridiculous financial demands being made by the player.
‘We have bent over backwards to try to make this happen and four weeks ago there was an agreement with Celtic in place over a one-year loan.
Paradise lost? Bullard's move to Parkhead is set to collapse
‘But now it seems Jimmy wants extra cash on top as well and he has jeopardised the chance to play for a great club. Who would not want to play at Celtic, with a chance of
European football and silverware?
‘Hull City were prepared to subsidise a year in Glasgow for Bullard. Let’s just say we would have made a significant contribution to the overall wage package.
‘But unless he has a dramatic change of heart overnight, we expect him back here rather than being in the United States with Celtic. He has had four weeks to make up his mind and has strung people along, frankly.’
Bullard toured Parkhead and Lennoxtown last week and even attended the Scottish Open golf at Loch Lomond as he weighed up Neil Lennon’s offer.
Robbie Keane landed £68,000-a-week during his short loan period in the SPL last season and Bullard appears to bracket himself with the Spurs star, even though he has made just 14 appearances in the past two seasons because of injury.
Hull now expect Bullard, who cost £4.5million when he moved to the KC
Stadium from Fulham, back south as new boss Nigel Pearson prepares for their Championship campaign.
