Just under 4 months to go, should be an absolutely cracking series. Shame I've got my final year at uni, otherwise I would've gone out for one or two tests. The Aussies have a lot of weaknesses and issues, namely with their batting against swing bowling and a lack of decent spin option and Mitchell Johnson being generally shite. England are looking good, just need to get a couple of batsmen into form (Cook and KP). Score prediction? I'm going 2-1 England :)

How much will swing bowling be an issues in Australian conditions? And the ball they use doesn't swing in the same way.

Australia 2-1 - Got a feeling they'll be right up for it and will pull everything together for this one.

It could be quite humid out there, granted the kookaburra doesn't swing as much as the duke, but I still think that there'll be some swing for us to exploit.

Also not having a top-class spin option could hurt the Aussies on pitches that'll wear on days 4 and 5. England having Swann is a massive advantage

it will only swing for 1st 10 overs or so, and then mainly in brisbane, and to a lesser extent adelaide.

johnsons a different prospect on home turf and sos siddle if fit...cant see hilfenhaus playing.

north shoudlnt be playing and not sure smith's ready...id bring hughes back move watson down the order and give camron white, dave hussey or grorge bailey a go.

for england cook needs to be dropped hes only maintaned his place as hes vice captain...same with KP on form he doesnt deserve a place at the mo, although hes undoubedtly class and the aussies are scared of him...unlike cook.

i dont like trott would much rather see someone like hildreth given a go in the middle order as KP backup and maybe adam lyth possibly as opener in place of cook

bresnan never will be test class and i have doubts over shahzad and freddie is missed massively...woakes could be a good option
