Defoe: We can better Arsenal

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It's finally the day Spuds learn their CL fate, by the way:

"Spuds could face any of Dynamo Kiev, Portugal's Braga, Sampdoria, Auxerre, or Young Boys from Switzerland for a coveted place in the group stages."

Obviously I'd like them to get Kiev, but Braga looked pretty good against Celtic too (though who doesn't?)

Sampdoria are a big-name club, but I don't know how good they are these days. They're knocking around in these qualifiers so probably not very.

Anyone but Young Boys, really.

Hopefully they get either kiev or sampdoria - kiev away would be a daunting trip for anybody but it does concern me that they are reliant on an over the top shevchenko while samp have a real goal threat with pazzini and cassano up front 8)

I'm more concerned about Arsenal than them.....

Anyway, does it matter who they get? Even if they do qualify they wont be seeded in the group stage so it will be hard for them to get out of that anyway...

The reason they're in these qualifiers is because they finished 4th in Italy, they have to be pretty good to finish ahead of the likes of Juventus and Fiorentina.

Cassano and Pazzini on their day can cause any defence problems.

Be fantastic if they got Kiev though.

Watching the live CL draw text on BBC website. Makes me sick listening to all the Spuds talking about their "beloved Spurs".

Kept a clean sheet in Istanbul, certainly won't be a pushover.
