Good to see our one time Spanish protege , Jose Antonio bagging a goal in
Athletico Madrids defeat of Inter Milan in the European Super Cup .
What i seen of him last year he was pretty Average but always nice to see a
decentish Ex Gooner add a bit of Silver ware to the trophy Cabinet . Who knows what might have been had he not suffered from acute homesickness and experiences with alleged 'Bad people ' at Arsenal .
On a different theme , hopefully Rafa Isn't going to wave his not so magic Wand and make Inter a far easier proposition for the Spuds in the coming
months . That's all we need ,The European Champs on the Wane and that shower waiting to pounce . Yeah , highly unlikely ............. but Benitez is no Mourinho .

I think you've hit the nail on the head and it's not unlikely at all. Benitez looks as if he's on a one man mission to try and sign ex-Liverpool duds - was in the hunt for the highly over-rated Mascherano, chasing Kuyt.....no doubt bids for Skrtel, Babel, Insua and co. are in the making. Why keep together a set of world class players when you can have a group who finished 7th in the Prem.

The man's a bigger GIC than our own and a bigger whinger too. Too right that the Spuds have drawn them at the right time (together with an Ozil-lite Bremen). And as for FC Twente - a more inept European side I have never seen at the Emirates

Reyes was a bloody good player.

What fucked him up was the treatment he got at Old Trafford. When Mike fuckin Riley allowed him to be kicked up in the air every time he received a pass.

Riley should never, ever, ever be allowed to ref a game which involves man fuckin united.

The *word censored*.

He also seemed to get the eyeball treatment from Henry after the racist incident with Arragones.
Plus his family could not settle in London.

He looked to me a decent player who was woefully short of confidence ever since that Old Trafford game.

Sorry Quartz, but are you not reading too much into that comments/game? The last year TH14 played fo us, I got annoyed that eveyone tried to pass the ball all the time, which wasn't good for our game. But I can understand Henry giving the "eyeball treatment" to another player, because "Greats" like him lived off confidence, as do all strikers.
