If i buy a scart lead splitter and run it from my BT vision box, can I then run 2 televisions off the box?
I'm not worried about any restrictions this will cause when viewing eg having to have same channel on both television sets.

In theory that should work but im not definately sure. The only thing is to run to a TV in say the bedroom you'd have to have a 20 metre cable which im not sure exist

The various kit is available, I just want to make sure it works before I go spending my hard earned.

Sid if ive ever got a question about TV or DVD equipment i post questions on this site it is full of geeks but very helpful give it a go

it should work fine. the only concern you might have is signal degredation. Its the same as multiple pc's sharing the same net connection. The more you pull off it the less there is to go round. so you may need to invest in a booster box at the source of the split or just before one of the terminal points.

I don't have a TV in my bedroom anymore, but when I did I had a Wireless TV sender. It had a scart splitter with it - one end plugged into the TV, the other half into the wireless sender.

Don't get a 2.4Ghz wireless sender, the picture quality is shit because everything wireless seems to use that frequency (Bluetooth, Wifi, cordless phones, car remote blippers, doorbells, etc etc).

Something like this should work better than a bunch of scart cables bodged together.

Are those gold scart leads really much better than the cheaper ones?

n a nutshell yes. Gold is one of the most conductive metals and used in modern circuitry in almost everything. However you have to weigh up length of the cable. most modern dvd/ps3/vid/tv are only a couple of feet together so it doesnt make much differnce at all, however if its not gold yhour lefft with any crap that conducts current and you can guarantee that its crap and you end up with that headhone issue of it crackling.

in this case considering thee distance needed to cover gold would bee the best bet.

If it is any help I have found breaking into nextdoor's loft and stealing there signal to be the most practical solution so far.

Firstly, the cable run is shorter and secondly it reduces monthly costs.

The downside is that the neighbours complain bitterly about their 12 year old daughter being able to watch porn anytime after 9pm and the knocks on the door from the police are inconveinient.
