From BBC:

"Liverpool are likely to face a nine-point deduction if its parent company Kop Holdings goes into administration next week, BBC Sport understands."

Please, let it be true!

If the takeover happens then can't see this happening

The takeover's going to be dragged out by the sounds of it, as Hicks and Gillette are refusing to sell (or acknowledge having been sold, at any rate). That will drag on longer than a week, in my opinion.

Bookies offer 5/6 for it to be settled by the end of the month, and 5/6 for it to continue beyond. So being resolved in the next seven days sounds unlikely.

Fucking love it if Shankley. FC were to get points deduction. They're fans would go into meltdown.

"we deserve success", "remember the days of shankley" , "we're the biggest club in england".
*word censored*

Amusing post on the Liverpool forum: "Getting docked 9 points is the equivalent of keeping Roy as manager for the next 3 games."

They really don't like him over there.

That's the thing with Roy Hodgson, he is a low to middling premier league manager, he should never have left Fulham, as he probably had a job there for a very long time.

He bombed at Blackburn, not long after their solitary title success, and is now in the process of making Liverpoo a similar club to Fulham...... (especially with signings like Konchesky..... Good work Woy...

The BBC will come up with a few quid to save them. That or the FA will just give them 9 of our points.

As much as this would be funny, i would rather liverpool in the top 4 than Citeh or spuds.
Just makes more of chance for them to be in the top 4 regular.
Liverpool will fall into mid table now or worse. Despite loosing points it will be the same.
