The only problem is that the prudence of our board will have been for nothing if somebody buys their shares against leveraged debt.
More accurately, the under-investment for a club of our stature would have been for nothing for us fans. For shareholders it would have been very worthwhile. I hate making that point, USM has almost conditioned me away from it.
The Ronaldo transfer papered over some large cracks for the manure last year.

Pretty bang-on about the debt-leverage isuue CC. If we were sold in such a circumstance at any point it would be bad enough but if this happen while the stadium were not fully paid for we would genuinely be more danger financially than either Liverpool or United no matter how prudent or new owners were ot weren't.
For me watching what happens at United and Liverpool should only serve as a
warning to all of us and hopefully to the club as well about the very real perils of getting involved with debt leverage.

We have
all known about the evils of debt-leveraged buy outs for
years. Even before the arrival of USM on these pages.
Man utd have been extremely successful in recent years. This is largely due to having massive funds available for players. They have purchased their trophies with borrowed money.
Shit has now hit fan. Good. Maybe they will sell Rooney soon, to make the figures look better.

If the question is does this prove our Board has been doing this the best way possible for Arsenal the answer would be no. It
does prove they haven't done things the worst way possible, but it doesn't prove our Board couldn't do a better job for Arsenal, blah blah blah................
