I went into Sainsbury's today and saw a 'Draper 14-piece jointed rachet screwdriver' for £6, so I went to the till to buy it and the lady asked for ID (after confirming with the manager that it was indeed a potential weapon and therefore available to over 18s only!)
FFS, look at the bloody thing...

Can that really be classed as a weapon, and aren't we going way too far by restricting the sale of such items??
So, just out of interest - what other innocent everday items are considered weapons in the uk???
- cutlery?
- cocktail sticks?
- kebab skewers??
- 40" tv's?? (bloody hurts when dropped from a building onto your head, I'm sure!)
where does it end?
