'Doing The 92' Thread

I 'officially' started the 92 back in December 2009, at a damp and miserable Priestfield Stadium, home of Gillingham
Since then I've visited a further 13 grounds. Last season my enthusiasm for completing the 92 really grew, so I've decided to make a thread to cover the latest grounds I and other forum members are visiting.
For each new ground I visit I plan to put up a few photos taken from the day and a small paragraph about the ground and if its any good. I encourage any of you to post here your experiences visiting away grounds and any photos from the day, or share with us the league grounds your hoping to go to this or next season.
PS - Can we try and keep at least one thread positive? Thanks
-------
My count up so far:
09/10
Gillingham
Swindon Town
Brentford
West Ham
Yeovil Town
Charlton Athletic
Fulham
Norwich City
Wycombe Wanderers
10/11
Southend United
Barnet
T*ttenham
Sheffield Wednesday
Arsenal (official visit towards 92)
Manchester Utd
Dagenham & Redbridge (planned - ticket bought)
Bolton Wanderers (maybe)
Total - 15

You can use Tesco Clubcard vouchers for five teams, if you have them.

MK Dons and some others have a 'fun day'. Where tickets this season could be had for just eight quid. 'The 92 (up their own arses) Club' don't recognise friendlies, which is bollox, because they are really cheap in comparison to league games. And a lot easier to get tickets for.
Oh yeah, look out for England U-21's against 'lesser' opposition. This season they played at Colchester, and it was a tenner to get in.

Thanks for the link that'll be useful. I agree with you about the 92 club and their stupid rules. One of them is, if a club gets relegated from league 2 and subsequently promoted back, you must visit the ground again.
Personally I don't do 92 grounds in pre season as I like to see what an average competitive match atmosphere/attendance is like, I tend to visit non league grounds that time of year, but I might stop doing that as the prices you mentioned seem worth it.

I didnt realise there were actual rules in this, how stupid. I think it is what you make it for instance if youve been to a ground once thats it ground/club done

I was really naive i went up there with my younger brother for a cup match in 1990 i think (Quinn scored and we won 1-0) anyway we got off the train and walked to the ground pretty much alone and you had to walk through tight little streets everytime i turned a corner the same people were standing there looking at us until about 2 mins from the ground they charged us i must admit i shat myself and we did a runner

My brother was only about 15/16 at the time too, never been so please to get inside the ground. My parent would have killed me if he got hurt
The Den was a shithole too scarey place to be an away fan

So is there anyone on this board actively trying to complete/already have completed the 92?

I completed the 92 some time ago, My last one was Wycombe Wanderers in 1995/96 season. The only reason for this was that they hadn't been in the league long.
Having said that, reading the above, I'm probably a fraud, The only time I have been to Southend was a pre-season friendly against the Arse sometime in the mid-eighties (anyone remember that?) From memory all the others were competitive games.
Nowadays my ground hopping is few and far between and I have since fallen behind with all the new stadiums and promotion etc. But I will always know that at one point I'd been to them all. Maybe one day I'll catch up.
1886, Good luck with your quest, It takes a while but is good fun along the way. Keep a record of everywhere you go, (I never did really apart from a programme which are now buried in the loft) It won't be easy living in Kent (I'm in the Midlands) as there are a hell of a lot of shi**y northern towns to get to along the way.
if I could give you one tip, then if teams are planning to move, then get there now while you can, once you get near the end it's always nice to say that you've been to the ones that have now 'dissapeared' as you'll never get the chance again.
Good luck!

I'm not actively doing the '92', but I've probably done about 45 grounds over the years.

No doubt some anorak with a shit load of time and money completed the "92", got pissed off that so many others had also done them too (thus in his eyes took away from what he did) so decided to make up some poxy "rules" in order to make it more difficult for others.
Best of look 1886, and as flash said if you were in a ground you were in a ground.

Thanks Gilles, flash and Rosscommon Gooner. I couldn't agree more with your tip. That's why I made an extra effort to visit Southend last year (ended up going with the gills in the paint trophy) and what a lovely ground that is too.
Yes, living in Kent isn't great considering how many northern teams there are, but the local team (gillingham) are either in leagues 2 or 1 every year, so I'll be doing northern lower league grounds with them which is better than going to watch two teams I have no connection with. Plus, I can hop on the coach which saves me alot of money.
And I agree with you all that if as long as you have seen a game of football at the ground then it counts for me, if your groundhopping for the sake of joining a special club at the end of it, then I personally think you're in it for the wrong reason.
