As I said on an earlier thread, got out of work early, and am currently caning the stash of cold ones!!! so,I thought that I would share my evening in a "Kerouac" sort of way!
Just listened to The Jams Greatest, reminded me of the time me and my mate Steve from Lewes went to see Stiff Little Fingers at the B.U.F.F.,(Brighton Urban Free Festival),mid 90's(ish),the point being Bruce Foxton was playing bass for them.
I am now listening to The Squeeze Greatest, reminds me of when I used to drink in the Dog and Bell in Deptford.Jools was in our drinking school,I even lent him two books,(Hawsmoor by Peter Ackroyd, and"Great London Walks"),never did get them back!!!I remember having a smoke with Glen Tilbrook and Chris Difford in the bogs there and asking them what their new album was called, and told them to fuck off when they told me,"Cosi fan tutti fruitti" cos I thought that they were winding me up cos I was stoned!!!More to follow

I also used to frequent "The Albert" in Trafaglar Street in Brighton, where Captain Sensible used to tout his band "the Fabulous Fish Brothers",and knock about "The Richmond" with Peter from "Peter and the Testube Babies." Where are Pistols, and Olgitgooner when you need them!!!

Don't worry, once I hit the single malt I will just watch "Fever Pitch" and go to bed! It's good to remember good times though.Maybe it's just Steve's,(Charlie,Charlie), passing, and the loss of my Cousin, that has made me think about old friends that I should re-connect with, and the good times we had-and should still have!!!

Old English:- To have a Session,to get pissed,to tie one on,
usually involves upsetting the girlfriend, sleeping on the sofa, and going to work with a banging headache and raging thirst!!!

"Session" is an Oirish word you lot half inched off us. Like "craic" and "geebag" and "cuntslop".
