Granada Promoted

I'm sure you've all been glued to the TV, but in case one or two have missed it, CF Granada have just been promoted to La Liga. They only returned to the second division in 08/09 after 22 years in the third tier and they've not been in the top flight for 35 years. They rode their luck but an away draw in the second leg got them the win.
They are probably the poorest (financially and as a team) side to play in La Liga in the modern era, so I can look forward to dashed hopes following teams in red and white on Saturdays and Sundays.
Still, it's bedlam here and the brandy's being dished out free, so for now I'm going to enjoy a season finishing well. I've not had that emotion for a long time.

Goonuz! Why did you have to mention Almunia? I was feeling pretty good until then!
It's a measure of just how crap he is that imo he wouldn't stand a prayer of being selected for Granada ahead of their goalkeeper, who wears a shocking pink kit, with socks pulled up over his thighs and punches the ball any time it comes near him.
How did we end up with Almunia!?!

I think the fact that Almunia qualifies as Basque and Athletic Club don't even want him says it all really.

I agree. It's the same with David Jason - couldn't watch him in anything else after Only Fools & Horses.
