Not surprising, was either going to be her or Pete Doherty.
Wasn't a fan but still a waste of a young talented life
RIP

Terrible waste of a young life.
A genuinely talented singer and songwriter.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but do we have an RIP Amy Winehouse thread before we have a thread on the ACTUAL tragedy over in Norway?
I'm sorry, but I have a hard time sympathizing with people who overdose on hard drugs. Winehouse has been a wreck for a long time, hasn't she? If you want to live the classic "sex drugs and rock n roll" lifestyle you can't bitch and moan when the consequences catch up to you.

You want a thread on the terrible events that happened in Norway then start one.....
Such a pity that she couldn't control her lifestyle. Drug and alcohol addiction is a dreadful thing - so maybe you should reserve your abuse for those that fed it rather than the 27 year old victim....
RIP Amy Winehouse

I sympathise with her family but not with her.
It must have been horrendous watching your daughter/sister/whatever destroy their body by the age of 27. On her end though, to kill oneself by 27 is not just plain old addiction, it is reckless disregard for your own welfare and for those who care for you.
Everyone at some point has a choice in life - her choice was to ingest her body with hard drugs, probably (although i cannot be certain) aware that she had a weakness for addiction to alcohol in the first place. Thats how most of these things work.
It is a waste of human life but it was ultimately her who wasted it.
