On which team you've put your money?

Curiously, Germany is not qualified. So I can enjoy RWC from a unprejudiced point of view.
Honestly, I root for the All Blacks

Can any rugby fans tell me why New Zealand has only won the World Cup once? As far as I understand they've been the best team for ages.

they seem to bottle it at crucial stages of the tournament. I think being at home they'll win it this year - England Semi finalists wouldnt be too bad for me :barscarf:

Someone beat them in or before the final but after the group stage on all but one occasion.

I still fail to understand this facination with watching inbred, fat ex-public schoolboys slowly jogging about, having a bit of a gay old wrestle and fingering each other's arses... dreary, boring, unskilled "sport".

you dubs have no knowledge of sport

i like most sports and rugby is a grand game, must be a dublin thing not to have any culture or to knock everything because its not played in public schools up there.

Exactly, the English have the same problem just because its not played that much in city schools then its seen as a bumming sport

I went to a standard comprehensive senior school and we played Rugby loads in fact we played Rugby more than any other sport (the bumming was optional  ) I think the whole notion that rugby is for upper class bum bandits is totally wrong and its played and watched by increasingly more 'average' people. I love to watch rugby and have been to a few games too and unlike football i actually want England to win :barscarf:

Only footie and cricket would interest me at all levels.
Like most sports, I take an interest in the big international competitions, in anything from golf to rugby.
Tennis and athletics are the big turn offs for me, find the Olympics and Wimbledon etc a complete bore.
I don't include GAA as a sport, just a hoarde of inbred culchie redneck fucking sheep shaggers chasing each other around a ploughed field.Cheered on by halfwits.
