I've signed up to run the London Marathon in 2012. Been for a few runs already to get a base fitness. Seems like such a mountain to climb at this early stage.

Anyone else run a marathon, or done anything similar?

Congrats Frank...A Very Worthy (Though Feckin' VERY Tough) thing to do....

I did a London marathon 8 years ago...It was tough but the feeling of having completed it is Truly "Something Else"...also done 2 Northern runs....I will PM you with a few ideas...and see what you think.

Done London twice (2004 and 2010) one of the hardest, but genuinly amazing things ive ever done
