TOTTENHAM

Having watched Parker yet again dominate central midfield in yet another league match, and seeing the Spuds surge into the distance in the league; it is quite amazing what the two signings of Adebayor, Friedel and Parker alone have done for that club. We all slate Harry for his profligate spending but it's unreal that having spent a combined £5 mil on Friedel/Bayor/Parker that he's made Spuds improve so much more.
As for Parker, Please remember that Scott Parker cost just £5 million, Adebayor was a loan signing. Redknapp cleared out some shite and actually made a transfer market Profit over the summer (like Wenger to be fair) - but with the only difference being that Redknapp's expenditure was just £5 million.

Wenger's was over £50 million.

Yet Spuds look the much better side, and acquired much better quality players somehow. Anyone still think Parker 'isn't good enough for Arsenal?'. Because I'd take him over Song. Think we'd defend far better with Parker in the side. Jagielka should have been signed but Mertesacker was cheaper, Parker could have been signed but isn't French-speaking. He'd have made Arsenal a much tougher side to beat imo.

I am genuinely concerned that the Spuds will finish Third in the league. If Bayor gets injured, their back-up is Defoe (not that shite). Ours is Chamakh. Some Gooners will deny it, but it looks a genuine possibility that Spuds will finish ahead of Arsenal this season. That should never ever be acceptable.

Hey Bab's where you bin??...I've actually missed your (extended) posts on Wenger :D

Must admit I always thought Defoe could be our very decent back-up striker cos chammy is going nowhere but to another club...also defoe is a Gooner isn't he...which would be a nice 'rub the ole salt in the wounds' of the *word censored* up the road...

Good to see you back Baba.

I dunno mate, they got their back doors unceremoniously smashed in against both Manc sides (well, one Manc side and one side of Surrey mugs), they have played quite a few shit teams:

QPR were dire against them
Fulham were shit too, couldn't score at all
Villa were *****
Blackburn. Enough said.

It's each to their own, but I honestly don't understand how any gooner can spend an evening watching a Sp*rs game... especially a home game against a team they're likely to smash.

It just seems wrong, and a miserable way to spend an evening :? - but, as I said, each to their own.

And for that reason, I've only seen 90mins of their season, and that was against us at the shit hole, and in that game, I was surprised by how ordinary they were... considering the hype that surrounds them. I know they beat us, but that game gives me hope that they can be overtaken in the next six months.

As for Parker - only seen him play once this season, as I don't even enjoy watching England outside of major tournaments, so I'll take your word that he dominates the midfield in games... and, if that's the case, then yes - he's better than Song, as Song can't do that. And to sign a player who dominates the midfield for £5m would seem to be a bargain, I agree.

And, sadly, signing Adebayor was always going to be a good signing for them, as he's a very good player when motivated.

I actually don't get that angry watching them on TV... but I did quit at half time as I knew Villa wouldn't get a result...

I would rather pull my fingernails out than watch a tottenham game unless we were in it .

As for Scot Parker ,we need/needed a injury prone 1 dimensional small person like a moose needs a hatstand !

Hate to say it but their team is perfectly balanced, probably the third best team in the league now, Walker, Friedal and Parker have added to them in a big way and none cost loads.

We missed a trick on Parker, very annoying.
