The wait is over !

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

on Diaby’s return...
I am very happy. It's been a little bit quicker than expected because he looked good in training, so it's good to have him back. He has not played one minute since the start of the season and had his surgery in June, so it's good news to have him back

Good? Good, Arsene ?

Now I'm all for a bit of understatement, but 'good' isn't the word to describe the great man coming back to full fitness.

Well, I can safely say that a Tuesday lunchtime hasn't felt so good for a long time. A new era beckons for the Imperious One and if the GIC plays him just behind RvP, we'll be happy gooners this year

Augie - are you listening? :barscarf: :barscarf:

Shoot me down but I think he will do alright now that Cesc has gone.

He will play advanced and has his chance now, buckle up, it could be a bumpy ride.

Mate, I've said the same thing for ages. When he has the chance in that role, more often that not he performs. All this shit about "the new Vieira" had him typecast into a holding role and then the GIC stuck him out wide on the left when he was trying to regain fitness and form.

Just the man to provide the killer balls to RvP (just like the last day of last season...the last time the Great Man took to the field)

this is a joke thread? bit harsh on poor old Abou.
When he has his one good game in 6 he's pretty tasty.

Roll up, roll up! It's your annual chance to see Diaby play! Behold the man with glass bones, fibreglass muscles & polystyrene ligaments! Gaze in wonder as he dallies on the ball for too long, runs into a defender, then hobbles off with a broken ankle!

I'm not his biggest fan if I'm honest but I do remember him playing very well in Europe one year in that position, if that is his natural game then he could surprise us all.

To be fair most said the same about Song a few years ago, a lot kiss his arse now, I'm not for a minute suggesting that Diaby will take the world by storm but he will get a run playing where he wants to play now so only then will we be able to confirm that he really is shit or if he's been misused.
