Will be a big blow to the whores

On the worrying side, could it mean a January bid for RVP?

Could mean a January bid for RvP or Walcott.

Likely to see a summer saga of RvP to Barca headlines too.

It will only be a blow to Barca if Messi gets injured.

Shame for Villa but convenient for Barce. Villa has hardly been playing the last couple of weeks, and was benched for the Real Madrid game.

I wouldn't wish an injury like that on anyone (not even Fabianski or Vela), but I've said for a while how lucky that lot have been with injuries. Would be interesting to see them cope without Villa, Messi, Xavi and Iniesta for a while, in the way we've had to cope without 4 or 5 key players.

surprised this is a story here.

well cesc will play more and they have messi and sanchez, they should be ok. The reason they[barca] dont get too many injuries is because La Liga is built on skill and diving, the opposite of the premier league.

Problem is we're now unlikely to put that bid in for Villa in jan. Shame. :(

Mate if you thought we would have bid for him before he broke his leg anyway, that takes the phrase "wishful thinking" to a different level

won't make a difference to them, he was being benched anyway. they're playing with 6-7 midfielders in every game, central striker is usually fabregas or messi

i can see them launching bids for rvp and theo however simply because they are *word censored* and they love our players.

Too bad about Villa, no problems with the guy, but frankly I couldn't care less about Barcelona's "woes" - if you can even call them that, God knows they can go buy another world class striker over night if they really need to.

If anyone from the Barca camp even remotely mentions signing RVP I'm going to lose it though. They got away with pure, unabashed unsettling of our player (Cesc) in the past and I'm loathe to see it again.

or Cesc - that lad has kept Villa out the team with 10 goals in 13 games.
