PARALYMPICS 2012

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

It was inspiring, never had any idea the games started from a doctor's idea, always thought they were originated by the Olympic Organistion.

I didn't know either mate.

But it is inspiring that there were/are such people...I know attitudes have changed considerably since that time...as have the Law/s and rightly so....whilst I enjoyed some of the events in the recent olympics (thought the Opening Ceremnoy was for me by far the best - it was like a Homage to what "Britain/Briton" was, and is about) - I am really looking forward to the Paralympics.

A link to all the events/timetable etcetera. Go Team GB I say! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

I'm at Heathrow for the duration, making sure they all end up in the right place. So if you see some people trying to row up and own the stadium on 2nd, you'll know I fcuked up!

Yeah, looks like some NWO messages put into the ceremony as well as the message of people with less able bodies competing.

The show, called Enlightenment, which features will later urge the 62,000-strong crowd to take part in the world's largest 'apple crunch' as each spectator is given an apple to bite at the same time.

This is going to be good. I might go out into the street and listen out for it when it happens. I can hear the music beat and see the sky glowing outside now, as it is dark enough.
