3-5 feet of water in parts of Coney Island, Brighton Beach, Midwood, Gerritsen Beach, Bergen Beach areas of Brooklyn.
Many fires.
Coney Island not accessible to emergency vehicles.

all over the news and papers but where was the reporting about this storm last week when 66 people died in the caribbean

Agreed hadnt heard about the 66 people til it hit America. Also ive seen links for people to donate money to help the Americans!!! Donating money to help the richest country in the world?

Abso fucking lutely REB. I have friends out in the Bahamas. Storm damage but no death's, (not relations anyway).
Remember Katrina and the hell that people had to survive?
Fact is, nobody cares about poor people getting shafted.
I know that there are poor areas in NY, but the focus was on Manhattan this time.
