Not before time. ... let the party begin :) !

Lets not beat around the bush, she was a bitch! Falklands war, Hillsborough policing, decimated mining communities, ban on away fans at Luton. ... all down to her!

May she rot in hell.....

RIP

First female prime minister turned out to be one of the few with any bollocks! Identified what she thought was wrong with the country and did something about it. The current generation of greasy salesmen who make policy on the hoof and are concerned only with how a policy will "play" in the media will barely raise tumbleweed when they pass. If you haven't pissed off a large chunk of people then you've not changed anything.

For the benefit of whom, may I ask?

She was evil personified and the original title of the thread came from an Elvis Costello song "tramp the dirt down" dedicated to the lady in question.

Swathes of working and lower-middle class people who could now aspire to own their own homes and get on in life. The entire country who were fed up with being bullied and held to ransom by the unions. The two decades of economic prosperity which Labour and the yanks managed to screw up spectacularly.

The decision to go to war with Argentina over the Falklands war was a warning to every country on the planet that you CAN'T just walk onto British soil and take over without expecting a fight!

Anyone who thinks that war was pointless or not worth doing needs to get it into their heads that we're no ones whipping boys and despite what people think of Thatcher or what she did, she ensured that country stood its ground.

Especially against those Argies!!! :censored: :cussing:

Really Sid? Evil Personified? Thats an incredible thing to write..... Personally evil personified should be put against murderers like Hitler and the Nazis, Bin laden, Peter Sutcliffe and sex offenders etc etc etc. Not modern politicians, like it or not she stood up for what she believed and the people of the UK voted her in

Most of what you said could equally have been said about Adolf Hitler...

She had no compassion and devasted the lives of millions. No surprise that the term "thatcherite" is used by all as a negative!

Despite what good or bad she did during her reign, at least she wasn't a spineless wetwipe like today's MP'S.
