Hi Gooners,
will wear my 20 years old Maiden Shirt tonight and listen to Iron Maiden live and open Air in Oberhausen/Germany.
Should be a great night out!

Metal Legends. One of the best live bands I've ever seen. All superb musicians. 8)

Except for Janick "one solo repeated over and over" Gers; the most over-rated guitarist on planet Earth.

To be fair was not the best Maiden Gig I've been to. Was Open Air but the location at Oberhausen was a little bit small, also the organization was terrible..at one time they were running out of beer :rubchin:

Maiden was ok, but they have missed to play some classics including 'Hallowed be thy name'
Still was a good day out with the lads...

Cheers,
Thomas

Seen him in Dublin in June, a lot of people were disappointed by his set, (slow hand clap at one point) which included a lot of his latest album.
I enjoyed it, it was a good gig, but could have been even better with the inclusion of one or two of his classics.

As for Iron Maiden, even in my metal days I never really got into them, all that posing and fist clenching was a bit too "spinal tap" Would go as far as to say I can't stand them.
