Swans away

Thinking we might go on a run of totally shit results now, but at least we beat the best team in Europe and are close to winning the calendar year trophy. :?

Return to the scene of one of our worst performances last season, won't lose , won't win 2-2 draw.

Surely, even our players will up for this after being tonked 3 nil by a Championship side won't they? Please somebody tell me that they will and that they will win...
How bad are ox and Theo?

It'll be almost a completely different set of players and a more important competition so I'm not convinced it's an issue.

I don't know if we'll win (I'm bracing myself for seeing that horrible panther celebration :x ) but we'll be up for it. We're top, so how can we not be up for it? - our away record is pretty good too.

if theo is missing, Swansea will push up as high as they can, pen us in. Giroud will have to be on his A game, because we'll have to play long a fair bit.

No idea who plays RW. Disaster to lose Theo and Ox. The Ox is low on confidence, but at least there was a chance he could gain his confidence back. The thought of Campbell playing there makes me queezy.

If both Theo and Ox are out that's the pace gone and will be a coin toss. Hopefully we grind out a result playing poor and it'll be one of those seasons we get lucky.

Campbell is another deadbeat, get rid of him in January, along with Gibbs Debuchy and Chambers

I honestly don't know who he's going to start on the right hand side. Maybe Cazorla with Arteta in the middle, or maybe put Alexis on the right and he will start shitty Gibbs on the left?

Cech , Bellerin , Kos , Gabriel , Monreal , Arteta/Flamini , Coq , Cazorla , Ozil , Sanchez , Giroud

That would be my team ... we would have limited width however I wouldn't risk playing a rusty Debuchy right back against a decent Swansea team especially at home

This could be an interesting game in terms of formation and AW's tactics, not that i'm saying it'll be good just interesting to see what he does, we should still have enough to win but i think it'll be a tough match :barscarf:

We are playing Swansea who have been dire this season, one win in 5 so why is everyone pessimistic :?

Ox was mainly bench warmer this season and when he has played has been pants (and I tipped him to be a sensation this season :( )

90% of this forum think Theo is shit so surely we won't miss him (yes I rate him played in the right role).

Ramsey also has been pilloried on this forum so again we won't miss him.....surely.

Looks to me that this forum is getting its Christmas early :barscarf:

I haven't got a clue what the score will be but I would back The Arsenal to win this one.

Largely agree with most of what lefty has said here

Personally I will never forgive wally for his performance in the corresponding fixture last season - we have a guy that always talks himself up and especially in international terms, and he played the most selfish performance that I have ever seen as he hung chambers out to dry  The young kid was an absolute novice and was getting torn a new one by Montero, but not once did wally drop back to help protect the kid and help him out, and that was the day that convinced me that wally is all about wally

The problem with the out of form ox and the out of position thus ineffective ramsey missing, is that we have no alternatives for that right wing position - the likelihood is that le cock will revert to playing either ozil and cazorla on the wing, and we all know how successful that has been in the past

I watched most of Swansea's game on the Monday night last week, and I have to say that they were absolute dogshite :o They had nothing going forward and ayew and gomis were about as useful as a paper umbrella  It is a testament to how average they are, that shelvey is the most important player that they have (although I rate ki more tbh) and if we nullify him then they are done as far as I am concerned 8) The only slight issue I have is that giroud will be up front and he is exactly the type of player that Williams likes playing against.

1-2 to The Arsenal :barscarf:
