I think we've let too many players leave on loan this window. There must be a negative impact in the dressing room, looking around to see who can lift the team and there is no one there. Some influential popular players are missing from that dressing room.
With Eddie and Laca seeking moves away this January, Edu needs to come up with something special.

Maitland Niles left because he wanted game time.....and Shit for Brains clearly feels that despite having no fit right backs or available CDMs that he wouldn't have got that throughout this month? Honestly, all self inflicted.Nos89 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 4:26 pmI think we've let too many players leave on loan this window. Nobody is coming in January who can resolve this mess. Start planning for another season without any European football.

The largest corrupt criminal organisation in the city has been the council. It's staggering what they've got away with over the last 30 years. Yet the citizens of the city seem to want to support them. Boris is nothing in comparison to Joe Anderson.Perryashburtongroves wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 9:45 amNos89 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 3:36 amThe city council regeneration program is focusing on the northern dock area. A long time victims fan who lived over there for years, told me this morning that several of their top players have contracts that guarantee them parity with the highest earner in the squad, and if they give salah £300k per week those same players will have to be bumped up too, and that is impractical. He claims that salah is on his way to psg in the summer to replace mbappe, and that mane will also be sold in the summer
Dunno if it is true or not, but the guy wouldnt be a bullshitter as a rule, and has told me a few things in the past that turned out to be trueThe amount of money pumped into that city over the last 50 years to try and regenerate it is absolutely staggering. No matter what, the locals will still moan about being ignored and left to rot when in truth, businesses and big factories made the decisions in the 70s and 80s to moved out as they were fed up of the amount of money it was costing them due to theft from their own employees, damage to properties and the absenteeism of workers. Then, trying to attract staff from other parts of the country to a city full of violence, crime and gangs was impossible. Add in the good old salt of the earth wouldn't harm a soul, scouse organised crime networks demanding ever more expensive protection payments and threatening violence every five minutes and it's no wonder successive governments have tried and failed to actually regenerate the city. No matter how much money British governments have spent trying to do something there, the, as usual, prevailing attitude from the locals seems to be to just do what they want, smash everything up, reduce it to slums and then complain. It’s a shame that the whole of Liverpool can’t be ‘regenerated’ in the same way Nazi Germany regenerated Coventry during WW2.

Years of it. Derek Hatton in the 80s bankrupting the city through to as you say, Joe Anderson who has been nicked for dishonesty in building projects, funnily enough, as has Hatton. I suppose, you can't really complain when you accept and support the the worst forms of behaviour.Nos89 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 4:32 pmThe largest corrupt criminal organisation in the city has been the council. Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Is the Kessie bloke the scum are after any good, a cheap CM should surely be on our radar?
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
When AMN left on loan, we had Cedric fit (he got injured against Forest), Chambers fit (he got injured against Liverpool) & Tomiyasu coming back (injured again vs. Liverpool) so there’s no way Arteta could predict the number of injured right backs in less than 2 weeks!
That said, we should definitely have kept AMN until a midfielder was signed because, with Elneny and Partey at AFCON, we only had Sambi and that walking Swiss disaster as options. Any single injury or suspension would leave us short and that’s exactly what happened. Stupid call.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Been reading reports loan deal agreed for Arthur Melo from Juventus from different news sources. Not sure he's the type of midfielder we need as he's attacking midfielder, but we need more quality in that area, and he certainly has the quality.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Just over a week remaining and that trolley-dash is looking more likely.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
From the reports that I have read on Melo , he's a box to box player sort of like Xhaka that moves and has an ability to read the game . What worries me though is why Juventus want him out on an 18 month loan . Seems a bit excessive , Is there a problem ?

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Juventus closing in on the signing of Dusan Vlahovic for €67 million plus bonuses, as per reports in Italy.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Never thought we would get Vlahovic.
Can we finally move on and try to wrap up signing a midfielder. Juventus wage bill just got bigger, so hopefully they are further open to dealing with us on Arthur Melo.
We need a midfielder, more than we need a striker
