This shit being announced really early in the day. Will not be at all surprised If Caciedo ends up at Chelsea now.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Brighton are not selling Caicedo.
If its Jorginho or nothing, I would take Jorginho.
Not what we hoped for, but provides additional depth to the midfield and lets face it, a big improvement on Bambi on ice.
City havent strengthened, and infact have lose a player in Cancelo
When you combine us getting Trossard and Jorginho, and them losing Cancelo. We actually come out ahead. Thier back up to Rodri is fat Kalvin, is Jorginho really a worse player than him.
lets support Jorginho when it counts.

Arsenal closing in on agreement for Jorginho. Understand he has been given permission to travel to Arsenal this morning to finalise his move while the two clubs put the finishing touches on the deal. Not signed yet, but looking increasingly like it will happen.

Oh, for fuck's sake. Fuck me, more chav fucking crap on an expensive contract which only helps them offload their shit. 18 months of establishing a culture at the club and then back to the fucking Cech and Willian utter shit. Fucking hell, can't we do better than this? We are top of the fucking league not fucking bottom.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 9:38 amArsenal closing in on agreement for Jorginho. Jorginho fee is looking like £12m.
1.5 year contract plus option a year option.

Jorginho to Arsenal, here we go! Deal agreed on £12m fee, Chelsea accept conditions and documents are being prepared #AFC
Personal terms agreed, contract until 2024 with option further year.
First contact revealed yesterday night — medical booked.
Arteta, key factor.

Because Willian and Luiz were rubbish, and they come from Chelsea, I guess that means Jorginho will also be rubbish. You know, because he will be coming from Chelsea too.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Thoroughly underwhelming signing
I'd only be mildly satisfied of it is for less than £5 million and on 30K a week. But it won't be,both the Chavs and the player will shaft us.
What an opportunity missed!

Doesn't need many brainwaves to see that Chelsea offloaded a finished player to us. This post has real "shut up and support the club" vibes to it.

Well said that man - fcuk this bullshit
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Not what we would have wished for, but he is a decent player.
Brighton weren't giving in on Caicedo, so we've had to act quickly to bring in some cover.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I think it's the fact that it just feels like a step backwards to the days of trying to paper over cracks with casts offs from other clubs. For the first time in twenty years we have a club and support in harmony, who care about the players, who have developed a bond after years of shit like Luiz, Cech, Willian, Silvestre clogging up the wage bill, taking the piss and preventing any positive move forward as we could never shift them. I can understand that we might have been after other targets and for whatever reason, couldn't get them done but really, is Jorginho the best we can come up with right now? If we were prepared to spend 75m on a player 12 hours ago, why do we want one for 12m from that cesspit of a club? This isn't title winning mentality.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Jorginho for 12m or Caicedo for 80ish. I'd take the former every day. Paying that sort of money for someone with less than 30 games under his belt would be utter madness imo.
Whilst Jorginho may not be what we all want the stark fact is we need at least one more body for midfield.
