other matches this weekend

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

An Arsenal XI lost 2-1 to Brentford today in a behind closed doors friendly at Colney. Eddie Nketiah scored Arsenal's goal.

Arsenal: Turner, Cedric, Walters (Awe), Holding, Tavares (Souza 76), Elneny, Lokonga, Maitland-Niles (Patino), Marquinhos, Nelson (Sagoe Jr 90), Nketiah.
Good to see Eddie firmly in the 2nd string :barscarf:

I'm surprised they only lost by one goal.

What was the point in playing this match? Can anyone really answer that question?

With the exception of Marquinhos (who we haven't seen yet) the whole lot of 'em should be moved on.

Give the training ground grass a good runout, I'd imagine.

Just logged in for the first time in a while to post this and check in on Rodders to see if the Barry White CDs have come out of the loft and that the bubble bath is in plentiful supply

It's going to happen again isn't it :D :barscarf: :barscarf:

Looks like a trial stay or keep game for the majority of that team. Money on the four players that were substituted will be out by the end of the week.

How embarrassed did Lloris look lifting the Metropolitan Police U-11 trophy for the spuds the other day?
He's thinking last trophy I lifted was the world cup. Why am I still here?

Trial match of who stays and who goes out on loan or sold is my guess.
