other matches this weekend

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

SlySports were hysterically hailing Fat Tongue's goal as a goal of the season contender. They genuinely looked sickened with each Brentford goal that went in

Are we competing with Spurs in a “Who is the most Spursy?” Competition. Couple of right laughing stocks in North London over the last 8 games.

They compete with themselves every year. Just checking, but wasn't this the year that they were going to be City's biggest challengers and go far in Europe? Or was that the year before or the year before that or....

Nice that we've given City's stiffs a runout and ensure all their big guns will be rested for the two finals

I think it's been awfully decent of us SteveO :barscarf: We've brown shorted to the extent that 1) They can have a title party at home instead of clinching it away 2) They can play the reserves in the last 3games :barscarf: I think beegee hair has done his auld pal a good turn :barscarf:

Problem is there’s no such thing as city stiffs - there’s their first 11 that will piss the league and Europe for years to come and their second 11 that would finish second

Whatever anyone says about City and all their wealth doesn't change a thing about our collapse

Last season Liverpool finished 1 point behind, beat them in 2020 and ended up 1 point behind in 2019. They showed that with a good manager, leaders throughout the team and a team who knew how to defend, that you don't have to capitulate

Thats all we asked for. If we'd still missed our by a point or two, so be it. We've turned it into the most boring PL title race in a long while

While it’s nice to have 3 or 4 midfielders reaching double figures for league goals without a striker banging in at least 25 you’re just not going to cut it.

Liverpool actually had 2 - Salah and Mane and that turns a fair few losses into draws and a lot of draws into wins over the course of a season.

Obviously we’ve a fair few positions that need addressing but until we’ve a striker challenging for a golden boot as we did in previous league winning seasons - Smith, Anelka, Henry then you can forget about challenging for the big prizes.
