Whilst I never wish a player a long term injury, it's a great opportunity to play Sambi, who looks a good player who will contribute to the team.
Before his injury he again jumped in two footed against a spurs player but didn't make contact, and didn't slide in otherwise it would have been another straight red card. He simply doesn't learn.
Wishful thinking, but if Jack Wilshere is training at the club, maybe when Partey's thigh injury reoccurs, because it will, Arteta will give jack a short term contract and rebuild his career.
It was also a few weeks ago I mentioned that xhaka never gets a long term injury, unlike other better midfielders. Oops.

Y'know I used to say that too. But I find it's easier to wish long term injuries on some of these modern "fooblers".

As for Clive, I have no hesitation in wishing ill on him. That night against Palace he should have been sacked immediately. And then trying to blame his poor form on "racism" and online trolls.... what an epic prick he is. :censored:

Masochistic physio at Arsenal… making Xhaka hobble off in pain with a serious knee injury instead of getting a stretcher

Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka will be out of action for three months due to a knee injury sustained in Sunday's victory against Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal said the Switzerland captain, 29, has a "significant injury" to his medial knee ligament.

Xhaka was replaced after 82 minutes in the 3-1 win at Emirates Stadium.

An Arsenal statement said: "A specialist consultation took place on Tuesday evening which has determined that Granit does not require surgery."

a real chance here for the team to show that they can be ok without Xhaka - obviously a very good chance that they will improve in his absence!

we probably do need him back in January though when Partey goes off to the Africa Cup..
there is also a bit of a concern how injury prone Partey is of course.

I don't think we need the Basel bulge in Jan or any other month Rob.He offers absolutely nothing apart from brainless daft shite to the team

Agreed. In games where he has gotten his stupid ass sent off we've actually played better with ten men! The twat makes Legohead Denilson, Alex Mong and Comedy Iwobi look like Bergkamp, Messi and Pele.

Partey being injury prone worries me however last season may have been exceptional circumstances as he didn't have a particularly bad injury record at Athletico.

If i were Capt Black i'd be preparing Chambers to fill in at DCM if required, he is not the answer but whilst at Fulham he played the role on loan and by most accounts was one of the few at the time who played relatively well, if i'm honest i'd play just about anyone there to keep Xhaka out of it

ACN will cause us issues just about the time Xhaka is due to be back so a sensible and forward thinking Manager would be looking at all possible solutions well in advance........... Arteta i'm not so sure will even realise there could be an issue before it happens. :rubchin:

I'll bet any money, he bucks the trend of Arsenal injuries and returns in 3 weeks instead of an extended 3 months

I cant recall one game, in however long he’s been here, that he has controlled the midfield, dictated the tempo, and bossed it - I can recall plenty where he has been skipped past like he wasn’t there, or not tracked runners, got himself sent off, given away penalties and goals with stupid tackles, fouls and shit passes.

You are both 100% on the money there. The amount of pundits and commentators that fall for the Myth of Clive is astonishing at times. But then the PL in general is a huge myth propagated by the media and pundits and SlySports.

DeBruyne in that first half today against the victims* was absolutely atrocious, misfiring shots, pissing away possession, not seeing runs until it was too late, and just generally playing awful. What did the prick commentator say about that? Nothing. Just kept talking about how DeBruyne is one of the best players in the world and mentioning great goals he scored or great games he had last year or the year before.

There's an agenda to never call it like it is with the majority of the spineless cùnts that work in the game. With the exception of one or two.
