Vieira Palace Manager

Post by gooner265 »

Thought this might warrant it's own thread as he's coming to the Premier league , be interesting to see how he dies as a potential future manager for us if he does well ?
I'm sure DB will have his own thoughts and merge it though 🤣🤣

🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Crystal Palace set to appoint Patrick Vieira as manager. Agreement in principle reached but not signed yet. Work permit process for 45yo former Nice boss & Arsenal Invincible under way. Confirmation expected in due course @TheAthleticUK #CPFC https://t.co/S8PUBv1PIA

I'll leave it for a few days mate. If he signs for them we'll leave it permanently. If not, I'll merge it then.

Be interesting to see how he does. If he signs of course.

That would see him removed from the Ek takeover team then. Conflict of interests.

I imagine when we play Palace who will have their name sung by the crowd more\

(Does Arteta even have a song with us as a player or manager, apart from Mikel Arteta’s red and white army, which is hardly original )

Confirmation now , can we keep this please DB :box:

Crystal Palace bring their managerial search to an end & prepare to confirm Patrick Vieira as the new boss, succeeding Roy Hodgson. The Frenchman gets a first senior coaching opportunity in English football + has a big job on his hands @TheAthleticUK #CPFC https://t.co/nBrauneSqn

Absolutely mate. I'm watching this eagerly. Vieira has been very average so far as a manager but if he can cut it in the PL who knows what might happen.....

Vieira must have pulled out of the Spotify takeover mob then, as he wouldn’t be allowed to be in both

But he had no real position in the spotify takeover - him and bergkamp and henry were brought in to publicly support eck, but they had no funds invested.

I think the point is that he can't even do that. It's a complete conflict of interest for the manager of one team to champion a takeover bid for another club.
