Think I'll make him captain now

Which of course means that if you finish 8th with one of the best defences in the world that you sure as hell must be the biggest set of c.unts known to man going forward!Gunner Rob wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 5:40 pmLast season best defences in premier leaguemcdowell42 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 3:55 pmI've put Ivan Toney in to my fantasy football team,he's going to have a field day against our backline

A player that will inspire the team and fans to believe we are going places. Don't think odegaard or Maddison will be that player. Bernardo Silva might, Kroos would definitely fit the bill. Even Raheem Sterling might have that impact of actually move us up a level. Jorginho would be a huge upgrade. He really impressed me in the Euros.A11M11 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 3:17 pmLooking for a latterday Platt , a player not highly skilled but with an ability to read the game and anticipate chances , that turns up at the right time coming late into the box and scores goals .
Now let me see .
Oh yes we've just sold one that has the possibility of doing just that.
As for getting a Bergkamp player , he doesn't exist.

Our relegation battle starts tonight. 1-1.
Re: Brentford bulbeyes A Fri 13th Aug KO 8pm
Perfect 1st fixture with a full house for Brentford in their new stadium. It could of been a boring one like Burnley or a chance to get a thrashing by any of the top four instead they get the one big side that they will feel they have a chance against.I am going for a draw.

As Han Solo once said “I’ve got a bad feeling about this”. Our midfield and defence are there for the taking and we create nothing up front, so….

My eldest lad thinks Brentford are going to be utter gash and get relegated with less than 20 points
I think they'll be a first season Sheffield United and finish comfortably halfway up the table
Like you say, they could be anything
There's a nucleus of players who have been together for a while which is what reminds me of the Sheffield United approach rather than Fulham's buy a whole new team approach. Also it wasn't like it was a out of the blue promotion - they've been in the top five sides in that division for a while and narrowly missed out before
Hope I'm wrong and they prove to be utter crap starting with a 4-0 mauling tonight, but sense a very damaging defeat

We have a very chequered history when it comes to the first game of the season of the last 10-15 years so God knows what the result will be, good win, bad loss, scrappy draw who knows, one thing is for certain no matter what we will be picking the bones out of it even if we were to win comfortably 5-0 some of us wont be satisfied

Think im right in saying Brentford are The Arsenals bogey side .....going back to the thirties
