Welcome to The Arsenal, Aaron Ramsdale

that strong hand to push the downward header away from Maupay saved a point.

Reminiscent of Spunky who apparently is doing a bit of coaching with him.
That save by Seamo against Sheffield United is the greatest save of all time. 8)

I didn't know Seamo was coaching Ramsdale? At Arsenal or England?

Arsenal called in by Mertesacker I believe to coach the kids but is also spending time with Ramsdale who apparently looks up to him.

Without a doubt. Still, to this day, don't know how he managed it.

Really liking Ramsdale so far. Must admit, thought it was a piss take when we were spending so much money on what I thought was a back up keeper who hadn’t really shown anything special in his previous prem stints but he’s been so much better than Leno. Let’s hope he continues.

Two in two years. Possibly a third if Arteta isn’t binned off rapidly.

I've seen about 4 separate interviews with Seaman who rates Ramsdale Very Highly and thinks he is the future England no 1 besides Our No 1.

Some more top class goalkeeping today :barscarf:

I wasn’t sure what all the fuss was about signing him, as I hadn’t ever watched him

He is top, top, drawer - loving him so far - will probably be our player of the season.

I remember big Dave used to love giving back a bit of banter. I remember being at Craven Cottage in 2001-02 and the ball was out for a while, injury or something. The Fulham fans started giving him stick and he was happily giving it back with a huge smile on his face.

This lad Ramsdale is proving me wrong all the time. Really didn’t see why we were bothering spending that much money on a back up keeper who hadn’t looked much at Bournemouth and Sheffield United but so far he’s been incredible. I don’t give Arteta or the scouting department credit very often but I’ll hold my hands up and say they got this one absolutely spot on. Long may it continue.

Also take into account the English premium - this is a 100m pound goalkeeper in he making. He is only 23 and look at the performances he is putting in. He will take Pickfords spot in the England team pretty soon.

I for one was cavalier to his signing, but it was an absolute steal and shaping up to be one of the best signings we have made in a decade.

Good point. Someone at the club got this one right. I've still no idea how our transfer work is really done (no one outside the club does, let's be honest) but whether it was Martinez-Lite, a scout, an agent, or Edutard, one of them did brilliant to get Ramsdale.
