Its a consortium not a single entity ,Saudis are a strange lot and Im surprised it's a consortium as any Saudi worth his salt would buy it individually .
A consortium suggests its children using their pocket money in an ebbsfleet sort of way !
Now some might say it has a royal connection but nearly everyone in Saudi is royal cos they breed like rabbits ....

The term consortium is a very vaguely used word in the UK media, the reality is the funds are coming from a state backed sovereign wealth fund.

The Saudis are not doing this out of the kindness of their hearts, Newcastle at £300m is a snip for a PL club with a big fanbase. They can throw hundreds of millions at the club in the same way as City/Chelski did and get a very good return on their investment.

Thats why Arsenal would never appeal to these people. At £2bn we are pretty much fully valued with no a lot of upside.

Another takeover, another load of money being laundered by nasty human rights abusers and more blind eyes turned by the press and footballing authorities. Nobody gives a fuck any more, football is a corrupt joke and stopped being interesting the moment that Russian thug ruined it all by buying the chavs. Bollocks to Newcastle and their fat, deluded, attention-seeking, overly entitled, crying, last-relevant in about 1996 fans. The absolute epitome of the Sky Sports years and now the horrendous, human-rights abuse years.

Can we please, please get over this morality crusade ? Fact is lads, that it is too late for that agenda cos there are several clubs already working this way, so it is too late to do anything about it now.

In fairness what should a club like newcastle be expected to do ? Should they just accept being a relegation fighting club every season, or should they pimp themselves out in a bid to bring glory to their fans and a football mad area ? More luck to them I say

Of course it will yet again sneak by that there are currently only 4 clubs in european football with wealthier owners than we do (citeeh obviously, and then salzburg, juve and the chavs) - neither the victims nor manure make the world top 10 of wealthy owners (we are 7th), yet they continue to outperform us. When the talk about conte becoming AFC manager was floated a while back the first thing that was said was that we wouldnt have the resources to attract him - that kind of comment would never be said about the bindippers if they were interested in conte, yet our wealth far exceeds theirs  Of course money is a huge issue in todays football world, but so too is attitude - if we had an owner willing to spend the necessary type of money to compete, then I doubt very much if we would have too many Gooners crying over no morality in football, but because the wiggy c.unt wont spend we expect no-one else to spend either

I am in no way suggesting that the walker guy that blackburn was corrupt, but in every other way it was his system that set the premier league down it's current path - he took a small club, ploughed massive money into them, and then fulfilled his dream of seeing them win a premier league title.

This is a state backed takeover, I doubt they care much about getting a return on investment. For Qatar and Abu Dhabi it was all about brand expansion. For the Saudis it is all about image cleansing and brand building. They are just going for the next 'big' club that is available for sale. If Arsenal was put up for sale tomorrow, I am absolutely certain there will be interest from the middle East.

Knowing how out club operates, we'd turn down offers from the middle East and end up being bought by a 'wealth fund' from Mozambique or Malawi and it would actually make us poorer.

Fuck that. There is no morality crusade. Money has fucked the game. Are you implying we shouldn't complain about this shit just because it has happened? Fuck that.

The modern game is the most boring sanitised corrupt money obsessed shit version of football there has ever been. But hey we should just get over it and accept it because it has happened?

FUCK THAT. :banghead:

By the way, where's the whole 'money ruining football' outrage that we all had six months ago when there was talk of a European Super League? I though fair competition and bonds to local communities was something that mattered to everyone especially the broadcasters.

We should be touting Xhaka, Kolasinac, Leno and Bellerin to them.

People forget how much shite Chelsea and City bought when they were first taken over.

Alan Shearer was fucking apoplectic about the clubs involved in the super league, saying they were a disgrace and going to kill the game by leaving the rest behind.

Now he’s cheerleading the Saudi takeover because it’s gone the way that suits him. Fucking two faced c.unt :banghead:

I would do a fucking massive sex piss in my undies if they got relegated this season. Please let it happen :barscarf:
