Aubameyang has tested positive for COVID-19 upon arriving in Cameroon for the Africa Cup of Nations after a video emerged of him partying with teammates in Dubai on the eve of the tournament.

Unbelievable

Read reports that Aubameyang has leisons on his heart, and will miss Gabon's next AFCON game. It doesn't sound good news for him. I wish him well.

Indeed, I read somewhere it may a side affect of him having caught Covid previously and left him with this as a result.

What are Heart lesions?

Atherosclerosis is a pattern of the disease arteriosclerosis in which the wall of the artery develops abnormalities, called lesions.

These lesions may lead to narrowing due to the buildup of atheromatous plaque.

At onset there are usually no symptoms, but if they develop, symptoms generally begin around middle age.

OFFICIAL: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is returning to Arsenal early due to ongoing health issues. He will take no part in the #AFCON2021 for Gabon.

What is concerning is that our Medical Team missed the Heart Lesions condition. :?

I know he's been foolish with breaking rules etc and has been shyte since he signed the £380k a week deal last Summer, but I do feel a tad sorry for him as he has been amazing on occasions for us and obviously doesn't want to be in poor form nor ill (Malaria?).

Even so football being the business it now is, if he cannot regain the form and good health he did have and is now surplus to requirements; our recent good performances seeming to hint at that then we should sell him (Newcastle?) or loan him out to reduce our wages bill till we can sell him, maybe in an exchange deal with someone.

Christ, send him down the canteen with clive, how we end up with these cases is beyond me, its like Dr Nick Riviera is the Arsenal doctor, one knee jerk test and here's your squad number.

Sounds serious, we may have an Aguero like situation on our hands if it is serious. Inadvertently solves a problem. I hope not for Aubameyang sake.

Tierney took the arm band today. Although for me he isnt vocal enough.

I believe its down to two choices. White & Ramsdale. I would give the armband to Ramsdale, make White vice captain, Gabriel and Tierney to round of the '3rd' and '4th' captain.

Odegaard will probably be next captain as I agree Tierney is a lead by example player. I also wouldn't be surprised if Tierney is at Real Madrid next season if rumours are true.
