The reserves game against Farnborough has been called off in response to our injury and suspension "crisis".....that's the self inflicted crisis by the way that sees you go from 9 centre halves to 3 in a season

Rekik or Kirk (or both) could be playing in this

Great squad management
It is "CRIMINAL" The way our club is being run. If ever proof was needed that:

a) Wiggy & Slimey Jnr are interested in Nothing But Profit and so sanctioned the stripping of the squad to the (less than) bare minimum. Just to save money.

b) Arteta (& Edu) Truly do NOT have a Scooby what they are doing, by reducing the squad of experienced (though albeit very average at best) players to its current state and NOT allowing for the spate of injuries that always happen during the last months of the season when players are tired and more likely to do damage to their bodies.

c) Employing various journo's and others in the Social media circles to write "Puff" pieces on them and how they have 'changed the culture of the club' and how they 'Are working miracles' and 'bringing the Arsenal fans and the club back together' in such a short amount of time ie: Telling LIES!

Jeeeezusss that grinds my shit!
The thing is that the fans who now go to watch Arsenal week in week out appear to be very happy about how things are going.
They have obviously not got any problem spending money on the ridiculous ticket prices and are happy to chant support for the manager.

So why should Kroenke change anything ?

Arteta is an offspring, a devoted student of Wenger, through and through. Knows everything, petulant, will not be told, makes bad decisions, then doubles down on them, whines to the press, refusing to recognize self inflicted problems........... This is going to be Groundhog Years ahead of us. If we do get CL, which I seriously doubt, we will go out in the group stages or at best, first round of the KO's, be out of the running for the league by November, out of everything else by January and have our sights firmly fixed on 4th by mid Feb. Over & over & over........

Never understood why we let Chambers go for free in January. Should have kept him until the summer as he was a useful squad player.

As you say, a self inflicted crisis.

It will be fine when the CL changes in 2024.
We will probably qualify by finishing 5th, and then the new format allows you to lose loads of matches but still be in with a chance of qualifying for the knock out stages

We'll get embarrassed, I couldn't help constantly imagining us on the pitch when I watched the Real v City game. We would have probably gone to theirs being 1 - 4 or 0 - 3 down after the first leg. Almost every game will seem like a Top 3 PL opponent.

Can we bring in Saliba for last two games of the season, if we're struggling for CB's?

Arsenal may have made a huge mistake after letting Calum Chambers leave for Aston Villa for just £2m in a shock deal that appeared to come out of nowhere. The defender had just six months left on his contract, meaning the Gunners were forced into a sale or risk losing him for nothing.31 Jan 2022
