What’s happening Thursday night that isn’t happening Sunday?

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a situation botched as much as this one…..an absolute fucking shambles from start to finish.

Brentford on Sunday has to be postponed then? It’s the day before the funeral, the last day the public can see the Queen’s coffin and presidents/prime ministers all start arriving in the capital. If Police are over stretched on Thursday, Sunday there’s no chance.

Then it’s international break so 4 weeks without a game at a time we were supposed to be cramming in fixtures before the World Cup :rubchin:
Let's cancel the World Cup.

Problem solved - what do I win for sorting that out?

Brentford game moved forwards 2 hours on Sunday to a mid-day kick off, so all the old bill can get a proper lunch break in between standing around at a football match, to standing around at a funeral. Bless them.

Chelsea on......too much money riding on a CL game to postpone. C.unts.

With no other slot on the calendar thanks to the slavery World Cup UEFA will award a 3 nil victory to PSV for this.

What a farce

wasn't it a dutch team we had trouble with a few seasons ago ?
10,000 turned up with only a 3,000 allocation
they marched down the streets and the police could not control them

they wouldn't want a repeat of that Thursday night with all these bigwigs turning up for the funeral

That was Cologne (Köln) . PSV have played at Arsenal before with no reported issues.

Any reason why they can't postpone the international break for a week to allow premier league to catch up? No didn't think there was one.

Maybe because the international break affects dozens of countries and leagues, and cant be planned around the whim of one football association who should never have called off their games in the first place

Tory government to blame here - too many police cuts

The obvious date for rearranging will be the Man City game in October - play it instead as a title decider in May

Arsenal v PSV Eindhoven, originally scheduled for tomorrow, will now be played on Thursday 20 October, 6pm. This means #AFC v #MCFC PL game scheduled for October 19 will be rearranged. "A new date ... will be announced in due course," @premierleague says.

Perfect - as I predicted earlier
I will also be able to get to the rearranged game :barscarf:

I must say it is very good of the club to postpone matches this week to allow myself to go on holiday :D
